Valentine’s Day gift guide

I’ve never been a big Valentine’s Day fan. It’s one of those days where you want to be able to do something, but you don’t want to actually do something if you have something to do, if you get what I mean.

At the same time it feels slightly foolish to ignore it completely. We shouldn’t need a greeting card company initiative to do something special for our loved ones, but if it gives us an excuse, why not use it?

I’m not saying do anything. I’m not saying buy anything. I just think there’s no harm in doing something to show someone you love them on the 14th, or the 13th, or the 15th. So in the spirit of love, here’s a selection of traditional and alternative Valentine’s Day suitable gifts your special someone might like to receive. On the 14th. Or 18th. Or whenever.

Appleyard London sent me this bouquet just after Christmas and I’ve never seen flowers look so beautiful.
